1. Overview

Alyra ("we", "us", "our") is an AI companion platform. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: Email address, hashed password, subscription tier.
  • Profile data: Username, display name, bio, gender, interests (all optional).
  • Conversation data: Messages between you and your AI companions, including text and metadata.
  • Generated images: AI-generated photos created during your interactions.
  • Usage data: Message counts, image generation counts, feature usage for billing purposes.
  • Payment data: Processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full card details.

3. Image Retention Policy

AI-generated images are stored for 7 days after creation and then automatically and permanently deleted from our servers. If you wish to keep any generated images, download them within the 7-day window. We do not create backups of generated images and cannot recover deleted images.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the AI companion experience.
  • To maintain conversation memory so your companions remember past interactions.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To enforce our terms of service and prevent abuse.

We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Conversations and personal information are stored in secure, access-controlled databases. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: You can view your profile and conversation data at any time.
  • Deletion: You can delete individual companions (which removes all associated conversations, memories, and data) or request full account deletion by contacting us.
  • Portability: Contact us to request an export of your data.

7. Third-Party Services

  • OpenAI: Powers AI conversation generation. Messages are sent to OpenAI's API for processing.
  • WaveSpeed AI: Powers AI image generation.
  • Stripe: Handles all payment processing.
  • Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure.

8. Age Requirement

Alyra is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We verify age during signup and restrict NSFW content to verified adult users only. If we discover a user is under 18, their account will be immediately terminated.
